Course Outline:
The course will provide an in depth review and expansion of history on the development of gangs in the United States.
Indicators of gang activity (graffiti, signs, symbols, hand signs, etc.)
Gang Prosecution
How to identify gangs and gang members and properly document them.
This course will also prepare individuals to testify in court.
Intervention and Prevention techniques School Safety Concerns.
Written Examination:
•- A 100-question written examination must be successfully completed with a minimum grade of 75% (75) attained
•- Students who do not achieve at least 75% on the exam will be allowed to review and re-take the exam one (1) time
•- If the student does not pass the re-take exam, they will NOT receive a certificate or any other items associated with successfully completing
the course
•- There is a one (1) hour time limit for exam.
Prior completion of the NYGIA Basic Gang Specialist Certification Course is
required
to take this course, which must have been completed within the past five years
Successful completion will add name to our database showing that they have passed the NYGIA Advanced Gang Specialist Certification class. This information will be kept on record and a certified letter can be requested to be sent to any organization or court in New York.
The class is limited to the first 100 people who register for the class and will be given on Tuesday, July 22, 2014.
