Ontario County, N.Y. — A Geneva man, one of two accused in a shooting that left a man critically injured last April, was convicted of attempted murder Tuesday
Erin Rhynes was found guilty in Ontario County Court, according to District Attorney James Ritts.
Rhynes was one of two men charged last April by Geneva Police, who say Rhynes shot Michael Cosentino in the head, critically injuring him.
Officers responded to Lewis Street for the report of a car that had struck a tree.
When they arrived, officers said they found Cosentino, who had been shot several times in the head.
Timetheus Merritt, of Geneva, was also charged in the incident. His trial is expected to start next month.
Rhynes will be sentenced at a later date.
